The sachet is made from two layers of supple film material, welded along their edges, equipped with base insert (49) at one end and a channel with a valve (42) for inserting a straw (56) at the other. The sachet can be made from a multi-layered material of which the inner layer is a thermoplastic material, e.g. polyethylene, and the valve is in the form of an aluminium@ foil seal an inlet, through which the straw ins inserted. The layered material can comprises, for example, two layers of polyethylene and an intermediate layer of polyethylene vinyl alcohol or polyamide, and the straw can be attached to its outer surface or be held inside a packet or a flap made from the material of the sachet.
