The filter consists of a frame surrounded by a filter element (10) made from a knitted textile material. The supporting frame is reinforced and is truncated conical in shape with two end flanges, the large one having an aperture for connecting to a suction system. The filter element is also in a basic truncated conical in shape, with its smaller end formed to limit the penetration of the frame, while its larger end is turned inwards to cover the larger flange. The textile material used for the filter element (10) is pref. a synthetic material, e.g. polyester or acrylic.
