<p>Hybrid probes for locating and characterizing disease. The probes (30, 40) comprise nuclear probes (40) which detect gamma radiation emitted from the diseased area, and ultrasound probes (30). The nuclear probes (40) locate and initially characterize the diseased area, and the ultrasound probe (30) fully characterizes the disease. With hybrid probes (30, 40) described herein, potentially diseased areas can be efficiently identified and diagnosed early.</p> |
