Oil or chemical absorbent regeneration

A process for reusing oil and/or chemical absorbents involves: (a) exposing the used absorbent to superheated steam for a certain time; (b) compressing the absorbent in a perforated chamber (26) until no more oil or chemical is expelled; and (c) removing the absorbent from the chamber and placing it in a collector. Also claimed is an appts. for carrying out the above process.
