Operation of heating plant with storage tank

A heating plant is operated with a circuit comprising a heat consumer, outward and return pipelines, a pump and a hot water tank. There is also a storage circuit comprising the same hot water tank, a storage tank, another pump plus supply and drain pipelines. Hot water feed from the storage circuit during heating operation begins when the heat demand from the heating circuit causes the hot water temperature to fall below an adjustable threshold. The burner operation is halted during the feed from the storage tank. The feed is controlled according to the heat demand of the heating circuit, preferably according to the hot water temperature in the outward pipeline.
