Retainer and doorstop for swinging or double doors

The doorstop comprises a fastener with a base (1) which is secured to the floor or wall and contains a retainer (2), and a door mounted piece (12) which has a stud (6) projecting from its fastening plate (7). The retainer has a part (13) projecting outwards from the base, and which has two lips (14) at the mouth of an incision leading to a cavity at its rear, for the reception and retention of the stud. The retainer can be formed from an elastically deforming material such as plastic, rubber, or a rubber mixture. Alternatively, the retainer can be made from a non-deforming material, and the stud can have an elastically deforming layer surrounding a metallic core.
