Control and prediction of course of spark erosion process on spark erosion machine

An oscillation decay process - which is superimposed on the gap voltage and is the result of an oscillatory system comprising an energy source, leading to the work gap and the work gap itself - is evaluated by double differentiation and is made available in the form of logic signals so that characterisation of the present and prediction of the future course of the spark erosion process are possible. The boundary frequencies of the two differentiation stages stand in a fixed ratio to one another, with the frequency of the second stage being higher than that of the first stage.
