For the ISDN service exchanging signal between the information source and drain, such as subscriber-subscriber signal disclosure, and/or sub-addressing are used. The interruption of the test signal exchange and thus of the alarm and emergency connection is recognised and reported to a provided office. Pref., both the alarm and emergency source and drain are each allocated an ISDN adaptor, whose input comprises usual control ports for the alarm and emergency procedure for further computer and/or input and output interfaces for signalling, such as report contacts, sensors, sirens, and push-button.
