The crate holding device has a bearing rack (111) able to be fixed on the baggage rack (2). The bearing rack has one or more upward pointing holders (114-117) on one or both longitudinal sides. A crate can be inserted in them from the side using a grip aperture so that the inserted crates rest on the bottom of the baggage rack. The bearing rack may be composed of a U-shaped member with right angled ends to act as a holder for the crate. The base bearer consists of a baseplate (112) and two holding bars (122,123) fixed to it longitudinally with side clearance from each other.
