Rubber rollers for conveying media, such as paper, printing ribbons etc are made from a blend of urethane rubber and silicone rubber. A rubber roller abrasion evaluating tester is shown including a metal roller 12 which is pressed against the roller 8, on test, and a medium 16 is passed therebetween with slippage. The medium 16 is selected by testing its abrasion resistance to ensure that it matches that to be encountered in the machine in which the roller is to be fitted, wich may be a cash or ticket dispenser. <IMAGE> |
