A connector assembly for connecting an electric wire (40) to a printed circuit board has means indicating that the terminal (39) of the wire has not been fully inserted. The assembly includes a housing body having a terminal accommodating chamber formed therein. An insulating cover (43) is hinged at one end on the housing body and has an extension (46) forming a detecting projection so that, when a terminal (39) is not accommodated in the correct position in the terminal accommodating chamber, the terminal interferes with the detecting projection (46) to prevent pivotal motion of the cover to a predetermined position. Cover (43) protects/exposes a contact projection (38) for mating with printed circuit tracks passing into a housing receiving cavity. <IMAGE>
