<p>A device for metering silage material, in particular a vehicle for transporting, loosening and distributing silage material, provided with transport means (4) for pushing the silage material in the direction of at least one loosening roller (10), which loosening roller (10) rotates in such a manner that said silage material is carried along in upward direction (27). A metering roller (18) is provided above the loosening roller (10), parallel thereto, which is capable of rotating movement in the same direction. The metering roller (18) has a roller surface which is provided with recesses and which does not comprise projecting parts.
