CAPTION/TTX MODE SELECTING APPARATUS & METHOD

The text/caption mode is displayed through an LED and modes can be selectable to be displayed on a screen by the apparatus. The apparatus includes a caption/text data detection IC for detecting and sending caption/text data to a microcomputer, a caption/text decoder for decoding the caption/text data according to control signal transmitted from a microcomputer, and a mixer for mixing TV OSD pattern data from a microcomputer and OSD pattern data from the caption/text decoder.
