PURPOSE:To improve widely the see of a sort processing by connecting plural pieces of CPU having a local memory to one common bus respectively, connecting a common memory to the common bus, and executing the sort processing by respective pieces of the CPU allottedly. CONSTITUTION:From an external input/output device, respective unsorted part record groups 16-19 are loaded to local memories (I)7-(IV)10 respectively. Respective unsorted part record groups 16-19 are divided into four part record groups beforehand so that all records to be sorted can be the approximately equal number of the record. The unsorted part record group 16 is generated on the local memory (I)7, and then, a CPU(I)3 executes the sort program to this, executes the sort processing and generates a sorted part record group 20. For an algorithm in a sort program, the above-mentioned quick algorithm is used. Even in respective CPU(II)4, CPU(III)5 and CPU(IV)6 as well as the CPU(I)3, the same operations are executed in parallel simultaneously. |
