a pneumatic cylinder(4) in which a piston rod(3) connected to one end of a transmission rod(2) is capable of front and rear reciprocating movement, and right and left rotating movement, and three solenoid valves(8,9,10) opens and shuts the ports(a,b,c); a projection(5) mounted at the other end of the piston rod(3); a gear position sensor(6) detecting the variable speed state of the transmission(1) to detect the position of the projection(5); a variable speed gear buttom(12) selecting a speed step of the transmission(1); and an electronic control unit(11) switching the speed step of the transmission(1) by controlling three solenoids according to the present gear position state input from the gear position sensor(6) and to an input signal of the variable speed gear button(12), and controlling the compressed air of a pneumatic service unit(13) to open or shut each port(a,b,c) of the pneumatic cylinder(4). The transmission has simplified structure, and can be easily controlled.
