PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of unit cell corner parts caused by impurity in purge gas, and improve durability by electrically insulating a cathode electrode and an anode electrode in the unit cell corner parts from each other. CONSTITUTION:Parts corresponding to corner parts of a cathode electrode 8 and an anode electrode 9 are formed in notched shapes as electrolyte layers. Insulating material layers 12 are arranged in these notched parts, and the cathode electrode 8 and the anode electrode 9 in the unit cell corner parts 6 are insulated from each other. Thereby, since a corrosion current being a cause of corrosion is not flowed in spite of electric potential of a unit cell, even if impurity exists in purge gas, the occurrence of corrosion in the unit cell is prevented. Gas (exhaust gas or the like of a reformer) containing impurity is used as purge gas inside of a tank, and operation cost is reduced. |
