PURPOSE:To stably fix a toner image and to prevent sheets of paper from being wrinkled by detecting temperatures of a fixation part before and after the sheet passes through it, and controlling the heater incorporated in the heat roller of a fixation device according to the temperature. CONSTITUTION:The fixation device is equipped with the heat roller which is provided with the heater 36 inside and a pressure roller which can be pressed against the heat roller, and a thermistor 37 measures the surface temperature of the heat roller. Further, a heater driver 43 which is connected to a control part 40 controls the heater 36 according to the temperature data inputted from the thermistor 37. Temperature data after and before the sheet passes through the fixation device are inputted from the thermistor 37 and stored in a RAM 42 respectively to calculate the difference between the temperature before and after the sheet passes through the device, and the heater 36 is controlled by referring to a temperature control table stored in a ROM 41 according to the arithmetic result. Consequently, variance in the fixation performance of the toner image with the temperature of the sheet can be suppressed. |
