PURPOSE:To provide a sealing material for an ink jet heat which has a high gas barrier property and can be cured with moisture by using a sealing material having as a main component an organic high molecular compound having a specified alkoxy silane in the molecular structure. CONSTITUTION:A silicone is modified for giving a structure, with which moisture curing is possible, to an end of an organic high molecular compound and a general-purpose organic high molecular compound having a high gas barrier property is used as a sealing material of an ink jet head. Concretely, a material shown in a formula is used as a main component. In the formula, X represents any one group among hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, halogen, R represents a group selected from methyl, ethyl, propyl, and n is any over valve among 1, 2, 3.
