PURPOSE:To transmit and display a noticed picture in a high picture quality state in accordance with a communication condition by updating a band management table based upon the display states of plural windows and dynamically changing the assigned band width of each moving image. CONSTITUTION:When window changing operation is executed on the receiving side of a communication system for transmitting/receiving plural moving images, the depth of an window, an exposure ratio, etc., are recalculated by a processor, a changed value in the assigned band width of each window is determined, the encoding speed of the band management table is updated, and the change of the encoding speed of an image to be changed is instructed to a transmitting source. The contents of an encoding speed specifying register for transmission and reception are rewritten, the band width of each window is rewritten based upon the changed encoding speed to execute transmission/reception. Consequently an important or noticed picture can be displayed in a high picture quality state by widely assigned band width to the picture without interrupting communication. |
