PURPOSE: To obtain improved magnetic reluctance at room temp. and small impressed magnetic field as compared to similar materials not contg. Sr or Ba by adding a relatively small amt. of Sr or Ba to La-Ca-MnO. CONSTITUTION: The materials of this product, i.e., the materials for the thin films of their own compsns. La0.55 , Ca0.25 , Sr0.08 MnO2 are as shown in Fig. Namely, curves 20 to 23 are respectively taken at 280, 298, 313 and 323K and are indicative that the materials exhibit an adequate value of|dρ/dH|at 280 and 323K and have a substantially large value in a temp. range inclusive of room temp. The materials respectively have MR ratios of 13, 39, 51 and 29% in a magnetic field of 1.75 tesla at 280, 298, 313 and 323K. |
