COMBUSTION OF HYDROCARBON FUEL AND FUEL REFORMING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To provide a combustion method of a hydrocarbon fuel capable of improving fuel consumption and largely decreasing the amount of the hydrocarbon fuel required and emission of exhaust gas and a fuel reforming apparatus for performing the method. CONSTITUTION:A hydrocarbon fuel stored in a tank 1 is supplied to the first and second dissolution chamber 2 through a pipe 1a. In the chamber 2, the fuel is subjected to the first dissociation treatment in which the light emitted from an electric lightning lamp 2a and having wave lengths of 3-4mum is absorbed in resonance by the fuel and the hydrocarbon molecules are dissociated into free radicals. The formed free radicals are subjected to the second dissociation treatment in which nuclear magnetism formed by a permanent magnet 2b of 20000G having a magnetic sweep construction and a high frequency generator 2c is absorbed in resonance by the free radicals and they are dissociated into atoms. The hydrocarbon fuel which is treated in the first dissociation and the second dissociation in the first and second dissociation chamber 2, is further transferred into the third dissociation chamber 3 provided with a ceramic heater 3a emitting infrared rays having wave lengths of 6-8mum, subjected to the third dissociation and then supplied to a conventional combustion system.
