Preparation of high density titanium carbide ceramics with preceramic polymer binders

Disclosed is a method for preparing high density titanium carbide ceramic bodies. The method entails mixing titanium carbide powder with a preceramic organosilicon polymer. The mixture is then molded and sintered under pressure or by a pressureless process.
