<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electron generator used for an image formation device. CONSTITUTION:In an electron beam generator, which has an electron source having a plurality of surface conduction type of electron discharge elements each of which is composed of a pair of opposite electrodes 5 and 6 and a film including an electric emission part riding astride these and an member irradiated with electrons, a screen member 9 for screening an electron source from charged particles flying to it is provided between the electron source and the member irradiated with electrons. Hereby, in the case of having constituted an image formation device, using an image formation member such as a phosphor or the like as a member irradiated with electrons, the deterioration of the electron emission part by the collision of positive ions generated in the image formation member can be prevented, and the durability of the device increases.</p> |
