PURPOSE:To attain the guidance of a route even at a point outside an area by replacing a part or the whole of the route set between the present location and a destination calculated by a route calculator means with a prepared route set between the present location and an intermediate coordinate point. CONSTITUTION:A controller 16 performs the communication with a beacon set on a road and reads the destination data out of a DRAM 163. Then the controller 16 sends the destination data to a beacon set on the line connected to a circuit from a beacon transceiver A via a destination transmitting part 17 together with the present location data on a vehicle detected at a vehicle position detecting part 14. Then the destination data (intermediate coordinate point data), the present location data, etc., are received by the transceiver A set on the road. If it is discriminated that the received route data are included in the optimum routes which are hitherto calculated, the received route data are replaced with some of calculated optimum routes by the controller 16. Then this new optimum route is shown on a display device 3. |
