PURPOSE:To obtain a distinct image having no flowing by supplying the specified amount of developer while rotating an amorphous silicon photoreceptor on which a cleaning member abuts specified number of times or more after turning on a main switch. CONSTITUTION:In a copying machine provided with a photoreceptor drum 1 as the amorphous silicon photoreceptor, a developing device 12, a cleaner 3 and a fixing device, etc.; the main switch is turned on, so that a fixing heater 8 and a drum heater are turned on and a fixing roller 7 and the drum 1 are started to be heated. In a period from turning on the main switch before forming an image, the drum 1 is driven to be rotated about 200 or more times while the cleaning member abuts on the drum 1, and the developer is supplied to the cleaning member at the rate of 0.1-1.5mug/cm<2> in maximum image width in the midst of such driving. Thus, the distinct image having no flowing is stably obtained under high humidity even when the drum heater is not energized at night. |
