PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst element which is not broken by vibration and thermal expansion by providing a hooking member in a projected condition on each side face of a plurality of rectangular parallelepiped catalyst elements, bonding a friction member on the inner face of a storing frame wherein the element is stored and supporting the dead wt. of the catalyst element in the storing frame by means of the hooking member and the friction member at the lower positions. CONSTITUTION:Hooking members 1 and 10 are provided in a projected condition on each side face of a plurality of rectangular parallelepiped catalyst elements 5 and a friction member 4 is bonded on the inner face of a storing frame 3 wherein the elements 5 are stored in such a way that the dead wt. of a plurality of catalyst elements 5 arranged in the storing frame 3 is supported by the hooking member and the friction member at a lower position. A reinforcing side wall 2 is provided on the periphery of the catalyst element 5. As the result, the lower end of the catalyst element 5 is not brought into contact with a receiving member 6 and therefore, the catalyst element is not broken by vibration caused by ventilation of the gas or by thermal expansion of the frame 3 and the receiving member 6. |
