PURPOSE:To suppress output voltage drop by connecting an instantaneous voltage compensator incorporating a high capacity charge/discharge capacitor in parallel with a load thereby lessening the current to be born by a battery at the time of switching to battery discharge operation when a high current flows instantaneously into the load, the voltage of normal power supply drops or the normal power supply is interrupted. CONSTITUTION:DC power is normally fed from an AC normal power supply 1 through a rectifier 2 to load units 5, 5', while at the same time, a battery 3 is subjected to floating charging and a high capacity capacitor 7 in an instantaneous voltage compensator 6 is charged through a resistor 9. Upon voltage drop or power interruption of the normal power supply 1, the battery 3 is discharged to feed the load units 5, 5' with power continuously. When a high current flows instantaneously into the load unit 5' or at the instance of switching of the battery 3 to discharge operation, the capacitor 7 is discharged through a diode 8 and the burden of instantaneous high current on the battery 3 is lessened thus lessening transient drop of output voltage. |
