PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized printing apparatus having a simple constitution capable of selectively performing single surface monochromatic printing, single surface multicolor printing and perfecting printing. CONSTITUTION:One single surface printing unit 2 performing single surface printing is provided to a transfer passage of continuous paper A and a turning bar device 10 capable of displacing the continuous paper A laterally and reversing the continuous paper A is provided to the return passage returning the printed continuous paper A sent out of the single surface printing unit 2 to the paper supply side of the single surface printing unit 2. The printed continuous paper A is displaced laterally by the turning bar device 10 without being reversed to be passed through the single surface printing unit 2 to apply multicolor printing to the single surface of the continuous paper A. The continuous paper A is reversed by the turning bar device 10 to be passed through the single surface printing unit 2 to apply printing to both surfaces of the continuous paper A. The continuous paper A printed by the single surface printing unit 2 is taken up without being transferred to the return passage to be subjected to single surface monochromatic printing. |
