<p>PURPOSE:To enhance waterproofness while preventing generation of noise at the time of running by applying an elastic water stop part having a stop leg being fitted unremovably into a jig hole to a waterproof seat being pressed against the outer periphery of each jig hole. CONSTITUTION:In the molded protector for wire harness, an elastic water stop member 10 made of rubber having a stop leg 11 to be fitted unremovably in a jig hole 6 is applied to a planar waterproof seat 12 being pressed against the surface of the protector on the outside of the jig hole 6 and inserted into individual jig hole 6 thus stopping the water on the outer periphery of protector body 1 and cover body 2. Under a state where the protector body 1 is secured to a wire laying jig 3 and a guide bar 5 is passed through the jig hole 6, wires 4 are passed through the protector body 1 which is closed at the opposite ends thereof by winding a tape 7. It is then removed from the wire laying jig 3 and the water stop member 10 is set in the jig hole 6 opened through the protector body 1 and the cover 2 before being set in the car body under water stop state. This structure enhances waterproofness and prevents generation of noise at the time of running.</p> |
