PURPOSE:To prevent the accompanied rotation of an image carrier drum by a development roll and attain invariably stable rotation in a contact develop ment type image forming device developing an image while the development roll is rotated in pressure contact with the image carrier drum. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning blade 60 is kept in pressure contact with development roll 23. The development roll 23 is an elastic rubber roll rotated in pressure contact with the drum 11 at the prescribed pressure contact quantity t', the rotating direction is the opposite direction to the rotating direction of the drum 11 and the same direction at the pressure contact section, and its peripheral speed VG is faster than the peripheral speed VD of the drum 11. The cleaning blade 60 has an elastic rubber sheet 61 kept in pressure contact with the drum 11 at the prescribed biting quantity (d), and the rotation braking torque applied to the drum 11 by it is set larger than the rotating torque applied to the drum 11 by the development roll 23. |
