PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of an unestimated event such as disable reception or copying in advance by using a recording head to record a prescribed mark onto recording paper when recording paper is loaded and detecting easily reverse loading of the recording paper through the detection of the mark. CONSTITUTION:A black mark sensor sensing the presence of a prescribed black mark recorded on recording paper 1 is provided between a recording head 2 and a cutter 4. When the recording paper roll 1 is loaded, the recording head 2 records automatically a prescribed black mark onto the recording paper 1. Then the black mark sensor 3 identifies whether or not the black mark is recorded to detect whether or not the recording paper 1 is correctly loaded. When the black mark is not sensed, a display device displays mis-loading of the recording paper 1. Thus, mis-loading of the recording paper is surely informed to the user. |
