PURPOSE:To avoid interference between the hinge of a air bag cover and aperture edge of an air bag unit storage part so as to prevent any damage of an instrument panel in inflating of the air bag for preventing a reinforcement to be exposed to the surface so as to improve outward appearance and also protecting a base material by the reinforcement so as to prevent its dispersion in inflating of an air bag. CONSTITUTION:An air bag 23 is composed of a cover main body 29 and a hinge 41. A cover main body 29 is composed of a composite outer layer material 31 which is provided with a flexible reinforcement 37 on the rear face of a flexible outer layer 35 forming the surface and a resin base material 33 having shape holding performance, which is provided in the rear face of the composite outer material 31 and forms the rear side. The hinge 41 is composed of at least the extension part of the reinforcement 37 extending from the cover main body 29.
