The lightweight aggregate using scrap tires is produced by (a) pulverizing scrap tires in a pulverizer to a limited size, (b) removing steel wires from the pieces of the pulverized scrap tire, (c) classifying the pieces of the pulverized scrap tire removed of steel wire by particle sizes, (d) eliminating scums from the pieces of the scrap tire, (e) coating surfaces of these refined scrap tire pieces having the particle size of 10-8mm mesh with cement powder and curing them.
