An apparatus for treating flat objects, for example plate- shaped or disc-shaped objects such as compact discs comprises a storage member within which the objects can be placed at short distances from one another, with their flat surfaces facing one another, and a gripping member for gripping and moving one object at a time. The gripping member comprises at least two jaws positioned opposite each other, each having a thickness less than the spacing between two adjacent objects accommodated in the storage member, said jaws being capable of being moved towards each other, to clamp an object by its two planar surfaces. |
