Devices and methods for processing a biological fluid provide for obtaining a biological fluid from a source, passing it through a biological fluid component separation device (1) to separate at least one component from the biological fluid; returning the component depleted biological fluid to the source while: venting gas from the fluid flow path of the separated component by passing gas into a gas separation arrangement (100) comprising a drip chamber (4) and a gas outlet (3); and, passing a portion of the separated component through a leukocyte depletion assembly (6) to deplete leukocytes from the separated component.
