<p>Arrangement for completely opening synthetic bags (1) filled with garbage, utilizing a conveyor belt (2) and two rotating wheel-shaped tear and spread elements (3a,3b) disposed above it. Between the tear and spread elements (3a,3b) a brake-element (12) is positioned, to prevent the tear and spread elements (3a,3b) in conjunction with the conveyor belt (2) from passing on the still intact bag (1).
