The present invention relates to a lifting arm for an exercise bicycle, comprising a frame, a rotatable drive axle which is arranged at a rear end section of the frame, a crank arm with a first end, which is eccentrically connected to one end of the drive axle, and a second end, the lifting arm having a top end, a bottom end and a spindle section which lies between the top and bottom ends, the spindle section being adapted so that it can be arranged rotatably on a front end section of the frame, and the other end being adapted so as to be connected to the second end of the crank arm.
