A pharmaceutical or dietetic composition with high antioxidant activity, particularly adapted for the prevention and/or treatment of cardiovascular and/or hepatic disorders, characterized by containing a) a co-enzyme Q, b) a lipophilic derivative of ascorbic acid and c) succinic acid or a bioprecursor thereof, exhibits an effect markedly greater than the separate components together, as is demonstrated by the tests carried out on peroxidation processes of the hepatic and myocardial tissue of rats on a vitamin E and selenium deficient diet, and peroxidation processes of serum LDL in rats on said diet. <IMAGE>
