A security system comprises a set of nested profiles, the first profile being essentially U-shaped with two legs of different length between which, in the assembled position, the second profile is situated. For security purposes and to prevent burglary, the various profiles are mounted, in particular, on windows, doors or columns. The security system provides a robust set of profiles (sections) whose fabrication and installation is simple and which offer good resistance, for example, to doors being forced.
