To produce an electrical component, with a stamped grid embedded in plastics, to give projecting connections, the grid (1) stamped from steel sheet is placed in a mould, to be covered by poured plastics (5) for casting. The projecting connections (3, 4) are plated to give an electrically conductive cladding (7, 8). Also claimed is a component group with a number of overlaid zinc steel plates, with the surface generally covered by plastics. The projecting plug pins are bonded as one piece with the stamped grids, coated with a plated conductive layer pref. of tin or silver. At least two stamped grids are used, over each other, to be placed in the mould to be covered by the cast plastics. The plastics cladding has recesses to give openings for the projecting connections from the grids. The connections can be inserted into the grids, to be bonded in place by soldering or welding. A number of component groups can be overlaid, with the connections passing through them from interconnection. During plating, the connections are coated with a conductive layer. The stamped grids are taken from steel strip with a zinc treatment. The grids pass through several grid planes, with their conductors durably bonded together, so that the grid forms a braided body, then to be covered with cast plastics. After casting, the conductors are separated at selected points, pref. by stamping.
