Ignition system for IC engine

The ignition system has the coil and plug caps with necessary wiring all in a unit attached to the cylinder head. In order to reduce the force necessary to push the unit onto the plug terminals, or to pull it off, the caps (18 to 20) can slide axially within the housing, and can be pushed on or pulled off individually from the respective plugs. The indication to show that a cap is making full contact with its plug terminal is the position of the grip (36) above the top of the housing. The caps have ribs (34,35) to prevent them being removed completely from the housing or from being pushed down too far.
