Load raising magnet

The load raising magnet has a magnetic coil (6), supplied with a DC voltage via driven generator and contained in a common housing (7) with a demagnetisation coil (11), providing an opposing magnetic field. The demagnetisation magnet is supplied from the same AC generator (2), coupled to each magnet via a respective rectifier (4, 11), with an operating switch (13) between the rectifiers, allowing a single rectifier to be supplied. Pref., the AC generator is driven by the engine of the machine for which the load raising magnet is used, e.g., a hydraulic dredger.
