The blind (4) winds on and off a roller (5) in bearings (3) in a housing (1). A holder (2) secures the latter to the leaf of a window (6) etc. Protrusions (13, 16) on the housing lock into recesses (15) in the flanges (2a) of the holder, which is fixed to the leaf. The recess can be at the free edges of the holder flanges, which are of spring material thrust apart by insertion of the protrusions. The latter can be formed by lugs on the housing or the corners of the housing. There can be a single protrusion formed by a T-section rib. There can be a strip (11d) at the curtain bottom edge, with a lug fitting in a profiled component to hold it in the desired position.
