Information processing using knowledge base and neural network

An information processing system is used to transform imprecise data into a compressed and compact form. For example, the system may be used to provide control of a handling robot that receives a general instruction to handle an object that can be defined by many imprecise functions. The object (11) can have different parameters sensed (12A-D) and the information transformed (13). The transformation can be carried out by a multi-layer neural network (131-133) and output stored (14). The data can be selectively used with knowledge base data to provide output to the process.
