BLIND FASTENER WITH DEFORMABLE SLEEVE

A blind fastener (10) having a body (20), a core bolt (22), a nut (26) and a sleeve (24). The core bolt (22) passes through an axial bore (38) of the body (20) and includes an externally threaded portion at an inner end (40) thereof. The nut (26) has an enlarged he ad (56), a reduced diameter stem (58) and a threaded bore (54) for engaging the threaded portion (40) of the core bolt (22). The sleeve (24) is located between the enlarged head (56) of the core bolt (22) and a conica lly shaped inner portion (28) of the body (20). An inner end portion (70) of the sleeve (24) is fixed to the stem of the nut (26). In a p referred embodiment, the inner end portion (70) of the s leeve (24) is crimped to the nut (26) and has a thickness sufficient to engage the nut (26) across the full width of an annular shoulder (62) o f the nut (26) during setting of the fastener (10).
