<p>A cast projection (5) on the caliper (1) has a clamp-fitted retaining sheet (6) used to carry the plug-in connection (3). The projection is rectangular in shape and enclosed positively by the side-fitted sheet straps (1,17), the arm (12) of the retaining sheet used to carry the connection. Opposed narrow sides of the projection are grooved (19,20) in parallel and are engaged by the sheet straps or again the sheet is held in place by a ribbed etc. nail run into a hole in the endface of the caliper projection. Additional components include the brake warning cable (2) issuing at one end into the connection and at the far end joined to a brake pad warning sensor etc. The sheet is moved (21) onto the projection using side bends to secure the cable. Sheet and projection have corresponding holes to take the securement nail when used.</p> |
