The holder has a delivery shelf (40) for the drawing sheet (1) which is mounted movable on the support frame by a support device whereby the drawing sheet is transferred from the delivery to the automatic drafting machine (50) through a transfer device (47). The delivery shelf has a holding device for the drawing sheet. The sheet transfer device can be positioned in front of the entry zone of the drafting machine and can be formed by a guide mounted rigid on the delivery shelf. The delivery shelf can be mounted to swivel about a horizontal axis on the support device (30). Part of the support device can be a dimensionally rigid housing with the delivery shelf formed as a swivel flap on same.
