The present invention provides an electroacoustic transducer which can increase the winding efficiency of a coil (10) on a pole (6) and can realize the automation of coil winding process and also provides a method of winding the coil (10) in such electroacoustic transducer. The present invention relates to an electroacoustic transducer for vibrating a diaphragm (18) by a magnetic field generated in response to an inputted electric signal to convert the electric signal into sound. The coil (10) is wound around the pole (6) with the peripheral surface of the tip end side of the pole (6) exposed to form a side surface of the coil (10) on a plane conforming or adjacent to the tip end surface of the pole (6). That is, the coil (10) is effectively wound around the pole (6) of the pole piece portion (2) while the peripheral surface of the tip end side of the pole (6) is exposed.
