The method involves storing one or more alarm times in a random access memory (22). Speech information relating to these alarm times is recorded in a memory medium (24) and one of the alarm times is fixed in the memory device, as an instantaneous time supplied by the timer. Then, the speech information corresponding to the alarm time is released from the memory medium. The memory medium is magnetic tape. There is also a speech synthesiser (26). |
