<p>PURPOSE:To produce a decorative sheet maintaining its ruggedness by making paper or nonwoven fabric with a thermoplastic resin layer rugged by embossing. CONSTITUTION:A layer 12 of a thermoplastic resin such as cross-linked PVA or an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is formed on a base sheet 11 made of paper or nonwoven fabric. The base sheet 11 with the thermoplastic resin layer 12 is made rugged by roll embossing and a liq. thermosetting resin such as melamine resin is sufficiently impregnated into the base sheet 11 by immersion or coating. The thermosetting resin sticks to the surface of the layer 12 but does not penetrate the layer 12 except only the surface thereof. A three- dimensional decorative sheet maintaining its ruggedness and showing fine effects of light and shade is obtd.</p> |
